Queens Park Rangers have a strange recent history.

Little over ten years ago the club was taken over by Formula One tycoon Bernie Ecclestone and his Italian business partner Flavio Briatore.

That marked an era in the club's history which is best forgotten but well documented, and it brought the glitz and glam to what was then Loftus Road.

Famous faces in the backroom, but which famous faces can be found in the stands? Here we take a look at five celebrities you may not have known supported QPR:

Michael Gove has been a Member of Parliament since 2005 and a QPR fan for even longer. Born and raised in Scotland, he quickly found his love for the R's when he began his career in the capital.

Born in Kensington, Daniel Day-Lewis opted for the mighty Rangers over Chelsea. He's one of the nation's best acting exports, picking up three Academy Awards for Best Actor in his career.

English comedian Bill Bailey is an avid fan of QPR. Best know for his roles in the TV shows Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Have I Got News for You and QI, he has long declared his love for the Blue and White.

Singer/songwriter Pete Doherty has declared his love for QPR many a time, and in his songs as well. Born in Northumberland, Doherty has long been a fan of QPR and when he's not performing, or up to other stuff, he can often be found in the stands at home games.

One of Britain's most recognisable faces, Martin Clunes is indeed a QPR fan. The Men Behaving Badly and Doc Martin actor hails from Wimbledon but supports the R's.
