There can be no doubt that Swansea City's supporter base has significantly increased over the last decade as a result of the club's Premier League journey in addition to the League Cup win in 2013.

This has seen a number of celebrities pledge their support to the Welsh club over the years, with these joining the local famous fans who have been following the Liberty Stadium outfit throughout their lives and during their climb to fame.

The Swans are one of only three Welsh clubs currently playing in the Football League, which means the club boasts a large catchment area for supporters in South Wales.

Here, we take a look at five famous faces who follow the Swans...

James is a comedian who hails from Carmarthen in west Wales and he can regularly be spotted at the Swans' home and away matches, with the TV and radio personality having supported the club for his whole life.

The 39-year-old currently hosts a show on Radio X in addition to a podcast show about football on BBC Radio Wales, while he has previously said the worst thing about being a comedian is when his show commitments clash with Swans matches.

Rhodri is another local Swansea fan who has grown up supporting the South Wales club, and he can also be often seen at the club's home and away matches supporting the team.

This comes despite the actor portraying Cardiff City fan Dave Doaches in the BBC comedy Gavin and Stacey, with Rhodri having also featured in films such as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 as well as Submarine.

Hasselhoff is one of the more unlikely Swansea fans given he has only started supporting the club in recent years as a result of his marriage to Glynneath-born wife Hayley Roberts, and he has publicly voiced his support for the Swans on a number of occasions.

The Baywatch star met his wife while filming for Britain's Got Talent in the city, and it appears this romance has also led to him adopting a new football team in the process.

Brydon has previously expressed his support for Swansea by sending them a good luck message ahead of their Championship play-off semi-final clash with Reading in 2010, with the actor's brother also emphasising his support for the club.

The Welsh actor was born in one of Swansea's neighbouring towns Port Talbot while he has featured in a number of famous TV programmes including Gavin and Stacey, Would I Lie To You? and The Trip.

Zeta Jones was born and raised in Swansea and it is common knowledge that she supports her hometown club along with celebrity husband Michael Douglas.

The actress who has previously featured in films such as the Mask of Zorro and Ocean's Twelve was also awarded Freedom of the city of Swansea last year.
