Stoke City progressed to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup last night, with a 3-1 victory against Watford.

The Potters travelled to their higher level opposition after a strong start to the Championship campaign and were deserving of securing a fourth-round place.

Proving to be an integral part of the club's U23s early on this season, summer signing Demeaco Duhaney was handed his first start within the senior set up.

The 22-year-old played the full 90 minutes for The Potters, putting in a mature performance despite his lack of first-team minutes.

After progressing through the academy at Manchester City, Duhaney ended his youth career with The Citizens by joining Huddersfield Town in 2018.

Spending two months in 2019 on loan with Boston United, the full-back was recalled by the Championship outfit in December.

Proceeding to feature 21 times for The Terriers, and assisting a goal during that time, his time with the Yorkshire club came to an end in summer.

Since joining Stoke, Duhaney was handed a place on the first-team bench on Saturday, during the club's 2-1 defeat to Derby County.
