Charlton are unbeaten in the Championship this season but welcome another difficult opponent to the Valley this weekend in Brentford.

It will likely be another game in which Bowyer keeps things tight in defence and midfield, whilst allowing the pace of his attacking players to cause problems.

Lyle Taylor is in fine form and looks like a Championship seasoned pro, despite never playing in the second-tier before in his career.

He has scored all types of goals so far and his threat will be key to unlocking a strong Brentford defence, which remained stubborn against Leeds for more than 80 minutes in midweek and has only conceded three goals in four games this season.

The Addicks added 13 players over the summer and Bowyer is still testing out his new arrivals. He handed a debut to Erhun Oztumer against Nottingham Forest in midweek and could rotate once again.

One player who is deserving of a starting opportunity is Chuks Aneke. The former MK Dons striker is also well suited to this natch, as his pace and willingness to run in behind is the most effective way of getting at Pontus Jansson, who is otherwise solid.

Tomer Hemed is another option for Bowyer with the EFL having finally approved his transfer, although he will be lacking in match fitness and is an unlikely starter  - but should feature on the bench.

In the last three matches Jonathan Leko has partnered Taylor to great effect and they have begun to link up well, but as Wednesday proved, the West Brom loanee is much more of a creator than he is a finisher, so although he deserves to maintain a place in the side, he could operate better just behind the two strikers.

That will give him the freedom to roam and use his explosive pace on the counter-attack, whilst also marking Brentford's Mathias Jensen who will look to find space and dictate play from deep.

Bowyer could operate Gallagher in that number 10 role. He has been brilliant at breaking into the box and getting into goalscoring opportunities - as evidenced by his two goals in three games - but since he is so effective from deep it may be best to keep him in his current position for now.

Another change which should be made is to bring back Darren Pratley. He played in every match prior to the Forest game [which he may have been rested for] - and it is little surprise Charlton won two of those three matches.

He provides a bite in midfield and is great at winning the ball back, but more importantly, he will provide experience to an otherwise youthful midfield, and that will be particularly useful when Charlton are out of possession or trying to maintain a lead.

Sam Field did well for the most part when filling in midweek but a rash challenge which really deserved a red showed his inexperience and over-exuberance, which Charlton can't afford currently.

Aside from that, no other change is required as the team is playing well, particularly defensively, where Deji Oshilaja will once again have to deputise for Chris Solly - who still remains a doubt due to a head injury picked up against Barnsley last weekend. If he is fit to play, however, he will likely start.
