Sheffield United have announced the signing of Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Oliver Norwood.
In a statement on the Sheffield United website, the club confirmed the signing of the 27-year-old on a loan deal until January, then becoming permanent for an undisclosed fee.
Sheffield United head coach Chris Wilder stated: “This is a fantastic capture for us, Oli has great ability, is a great age and will make us stronger.
“He complements our squad and our transfer business over the course of the summer window.”
The Northern Ireland international’s mew deal will keep him at Bramall Lane until the summer of 2021, with Norwood hoping he can add to his two promotions from the Championship with the Blades this season.
The midfielder started his career in the youth set up at Manchester United, before playing for a number of clubs across the Premier League, Championship and League One.
Norwood, who spent last season on loan at Cravan Cottage, racked up five goals in his 41 appearances for Fulham, under the reign of Slavisa Jokanovic.
Here is how the Sheffield United fans reacted to the news.
