Millwall be desperate to improve on what was a dismal 2018/19 campaign and it looks like the transfer window could hold the key.

After impressively pushing for a place in the play-offs during the 2017/18 season, the Lions followed it up with a sorry showing scraping to survival by just four points.

Neil Harris has made no secret of his intentions to shake up his squad this summer and the early signs show that that is what he will do.

Derby County centre-back Alex Pearce has already made his move to the Den permanent following a strong loan spell last season and on Thursday they confirmed another new arrival.

After six years with Bristol City Frank Fielding was released at the expiry of his contract and Millwall moved quickly to snap him up.

He immediately takes up the club's number one shirt and will presumably be Harris' first-choice for the coming campaign.

And if the reaction of the fans is anything to go by he is sure to be a very popular man...
