Derby County centre-back Fikayo Tomori has been reliving the drama of their play-off semi-final with Leeds United ahead of Monday's final.

The Chelsea loanee shared a clip of Jack Marriott's brilliant chipped finish in the 86th minute at Elland Road to edge the Rams in front on aggregate and ultimately book their place at Wembley.

Sharing the clip on his Instagram story, Tomori wrote alongside it simply, "Reliving", along with a  starry-eyed emoji.

Two goals from Marriott as well as strikes from Mason Mount and Harry Wilson were enough to see Frank Lampard's side overturn a 2-0 aggregate deficit to book a place at Wembley to face Aston Villa.

Tomori has been an ever-present in the Rams' defence this season, racking up 44 Championship appearances and scooping the club's player of the season award along the way.

In the other semi-final, Villa needed penalties to scrape past West Brom at the Hawthorns with the tie finishing 2-2 on aggregate.

The verdict

I see nothing wrong with Tomori inspiring himself ahead of another massive match.

The win against Leeds was surely the biggest match and victory that the 21-year-old has been a part of in his career so far.

But the job is not done yet and Lampard and co will need him to be at his best on Monday again to fend off the might of Villa.
