Louis Ducruet has revealed his delight after he took up the role of advisor for international projects at Nottingham Forest.
The Reds confirmed on their official site this afternoon that Ducruet had been appointed in the new position, with his aim to ‘expand the global presence of the club’.
It’s unclear what his specific duties will be or whether they will impact the first-team but he does have previous experience in football having worked with AS Monaco for the past five years.
And, Ducruet is certainly looking forward to getting started, as he took to Instagram to send a message after the announcement was made.
“It is a great pleasure for me to announce that I’m joining officially @officialnffc 🔴 ! I’m glad to join such historical club, I’m ready for this new challenge! Let’s go Reds!”
You can imagine that Ducruet’s job will become a lot easier if Forest win promotion and that’s the task for Chris Hughton this season.
The new boss has enjoyed a decent start since taking over and his team are back in action on Wednesday when they travel to take on Luton Town.
This is an interesting move from Forest, although we can’t say too much about it as there’s still some uncertainty as to what Ducruet is going to do.
But, you can’t knock the club for having big plans and there’s no denying they have a pull because of their illustrious history.
So, the new appointment can be judged in time and the immediate focus will be on the team as they look to get an important three points this week.
