Responding to a fan's question on Twitter, Pontus Jansson's brother Peter has confirmed that the defender is ready to go against Reading this weekend.

The Championship returns this weekend with Leeds United looking to bounce back from their loss to Sheffield Wednesday before the international break.

They play Reading, too, in a game that they'll think that they can win and they'll certainly be pleased that Jansson seems ready to go at the heart of the defence.

Indeed, a fan asked his brother what the state of play was with the injury:

To which Peter Jansson replied:

Certainly, then, that is good news for the Whites as they try to get themselves back into the automatic promotion spots before too long.

Recently, their form has been very poor and they've found themselves drop into just the play-off places after a scintillating start to the campaign.

Reading are in worse form going into this game, though, and so if there could be any perfect game to get back to winning ways, it would probably be this one for Leeds this weekend.

The Verdict

Jansson is obviously a key part of the Whites' defence and having him fit for this game is crucial as Leeds look to return to winning ways.

They need to ensure the gap to Cardiff and Wolves doesn't get any bigger as we return to action and that is the challenge that awaits against Reading.
