‘Feel sorry for the guy’ – Plenty of Ipswich fans react as club make significant decision

Ipswich Town have sacked manager Paul Hurst with the club bottom of the table and with just one league win all season.
The club confirmed the news on their website, also adding that assistant Chris Doig, fitness coach Nathan Winder and head of medical services, Chris Skitt, have departed too.
Ipswich Town Football Club have today parted company with manager Paul Hurst.
We thank Paul for his efforts throughout his time at the Club and wish him well for the future. #itfc

Hurst arrived at Portman Road in the summer having replaced Mick McCarthy, and was tasked with creating a new-look Ipswich side.
However, despite several summer signings, with a focus on bringing in young, hungry players from the lower leagues, it hasn’t worked.
Defeat at Elland Road on Wednesday meant the Tractor Boys have lost seven of their 14 games. That has left them bottom of the Championship and already four points from safety at this early stage of the season.
Given that, most fans agreed with the decision, even if they were sad that it hadn’t worked out for the former Shrewsbury boss.
Here’s how they reacted on Twitter…
Good decision by the club. Shame it didn't work out. Best of luck to him. Next…. #itfc

It’s a real shame it didn’t work out and I was genuinely excited at the appointment in the summer. I honestly do feel sorry for the guy and believe one day he will succeed at this level #itfc

Best of luck with whatever Hurst does next. Shame it wasn't working out. We did need a change from Mick but it appears he wasn't the right choice. That being said if gets no proper money to spend it's never gonna be easy!! #itfc
