Barnsley have recently confirmed that Jordan Green has left the club to join League Two side Newport County on loan for the remainder of the season.

The 24-year-old made ten league appearances for the Tykes in his first season with the club since arriving from Yeovil Town in the January transfer window of 2019.

But he's only made just two appearances in this year's campaign, and Barnsley boss Gerhard Struber is clearly keen to find the winger regular minutes with another team this term.

If he can make a good impression out on loan this season with Newport, then you have to imagine that he'll be firmly in Struber's plans for future seasons at Oakwell.

Green could be in line to make his debut for Newport County this weekend when they take on league leaders Swindon Town, in what is certain to be a tricky test.

Plenty of Barnsley fans took to social media to issue their thoughts on Green's departure this month.
