The Championship has a reputation for being unpredictable and despite only going into the second series of games, the league certainly lived up to it.

Only two teams have taken six points from two games, and some of the big winners from last week were on the other end of the spectrum come the end of their 90 minute encounters. So, how much have the rankings changed since week one?

Number 10- Derby- last week: 10 Change +/- 0

Barely clinging on to their spot in the Football League World Power Rankings, Derby are still yet to concede a goal. The reason they maintain their spot at the bottom of the list however is that the match was scrappy to say the least. We have already established that the team with the most goals in the Championship last season are incredibly dangerous on the attacking side of things, but they failed to show that dominance against Sheffield. Things did improve in the second half when Russell came on and ignited the fire in the Derby camp, but it wasn't enough to see them take that elusive winning goal. Defensively the Rams stood their ground very well but when it came to converting chances, there is a lot left to be desired.

Number 9- Sheffield Wednesday- last week 9 Change +/-0

The second and only other team to retain their week one Power Ranking position, Sheffield Wednesday seem much stronger than last season. However, it seems that they have "Derby disease" also scoring just one goal in 180 minutes of Football but conceding none. Keiren Westwood had a spectacular game in goal and made a crucial save late on. The game was not a boring 0-0 and Sheffield played with a lot of intensity. A promising sign of things to come.

Number 8- Watford- last week 2 Change -6

A surprise to many was not only the margin that Watford lost by but also the circumstances. A controversial red card sent Ekstrand off after contact with Nathan Redmond, The Canaries number 22 had a bloodied nose which may have had some influence behind the Ref's decision. The Red card fell just two minutes after the first whistle and it looked like Watford just couldn't gel or find away to stop the relentless barrage that Norwich produced. 30 shots were fired in towards Gomes with three of them making their way into the net. The Hornets have proven that they have the quality of both player and cohesion last week with a 3-0 demolition job over Bolton. This however, showcased a much more vulnerable Watford side. S

Number 7- Charlton- last week N/A

Bob Peeter's opening three games as Charlton boss have been a draw, a cup win and a win against Wigan. Not a bad way to make an impression to a set of fans who almost saw their team relegated again last season. It was recent signing Franck Moussa that came off the bench to score the winner as late as the 93rd minute as the Addicks claimed all three points in their first home game of the season. Whilst the second goal sparked a lot of anger in the Wigan camp after it was deflected into the goal by Rob kiernan. It was Wigan who grabbed a last second goal in their first game of the season, but Charlton took those honours today. Some fans seemed nervous after seeing all of the new blood being brought into the club. I'm sure many of those won't be saying the same things after yesterday.

Number 6- Norwich- last week N/A

The second team to debut in the power rankings took a stunning 3-0 win over Norwich. A lot of controversy echoes around Carrow road following the Red Card as we mentioned earlier. It definitely had a huge effect on the way both teams played, but for Norwich to have over 60% possession, 30 shots and then to score three goals in just twenty minutes is very impressive. It's a result Norwich fans have wanted for a very long time. Manager Neil Adams claimed his first win on Saturday and it took seven games. It will be a massive morale boost to the Canaries, especially seeing as new summer signing Lewis Grabban got his name on the score sheet.

Number 5- Blackburn- last week 7 change +2

Two goals from 25 year old Rudy Gestede were enough for Blackburn to brush aside rivals Blackpool on Saturday. Blackburn now an unbeaten run that stretches back to March, seeing them scoring points in their last 14 championship games. The first half was a very one sided affair as many predicted it would be. Jose Riga's Blackpool side still lacks depth and deceptively could be regarded as an easy victory. That however was far from true as they came out swinging in the closing thirty minutes. Blackpool scored their elusive first goal of the season which is a silver lining in their thunder cloud. But it was Blackburn bringing the storm as they now sit fifth in the league.

Number 4- Cardiff- Last week N/A

A disappointing start to the year was rectified yesterday as Kenwyne Jones scored a brace and played a vital role in Cardiff's first win of the season. The striker netted a rebound and then added another with a powerful strike inside the box. Doubts still remain over Kenwyne's fitness as he was subbed off close to 70 minutes in. However, compared to the draw in week one there are a lot of positives to be taken. Huddersfield did have more shots and did show signs of a comeback with a goal from Wallace on the edge of half time, but with Jone's goal adding to his own and Wittingham's strikes, it meant that Cardiff had a two goal advantage. It seemed like Cardiff were struggling to hold on at times, but their counter attacking was simply outstanding. A big win is worthy of a big position in our power rankings.

Number 3- Nottingham Forest- Last week 6 Change +3

It was a tale just one half at the Reebok stadium with all four of the goals coming in just 45 minutes. The way that Pearce's men were attacking, they looked like a winning team. Record signing Assombalonga netted both goals for Forest and Andy Reid should have had a third. The shots ratio was dominated by the reds, with over double the shots to what Bolton could fire. 10 corners and 58% possession are also statistics that say this one should have been a Forest win. For fans, they will be disappointed knowing that this result could have been so much more. But it is a hugely promising sign of things to come if Pearce's men can continue to play like this.

Number 2- Millwall- last week 5 Change +3

Ian Holloway made it two wins out of two as Millwall triumphed over recently relegated and struggling Fulham. It was by no means a perfect win as there are plenty of areas that need some work. Millwall only had 38% possession and were forced into playing counter attacking football. The tactic worked however as Martyn Woolford latched onto a cross to score the only goal of the game. Being only one of two sides to win both opening games, the team sit second in the standings and look intimidating going into the third set of games. It could have easily been doubled or perhaps even tripled, the chances that the Blues created were dangerous. Their keeper, Forde made some excellent saves to keep the team ahead as well. A solid result.

Bournemouth- last week 1 Change +/- 0

Eddie Howe's side desolated Huddersfield 4-0 in the season opener last weekend, and continued their impressive streak against Brentford with a 1-0 win. Still yet to concede, Bournemouth look to have the perfect balance of experience and youth, attacking and defending and pace of play. It was substitute Substitute Junior Stanislas who scored the only goal during the encounter, the 24 year old didn't receive a lot of first team football at Burnley last season and that may have proven to be a big mistake. Callum Wilson impressed yet again at home as did Matt Ritchie who sent in a scorcher towards keeper David Button early on. Thankfully for Brentford, it sailed over the crossbar. Confidence is only growing with this squad and the big names are just getting bigger.

Bournemouth reign supreme for the second week running but some new faces make their way into the Rankings. Can Bournemouth make it three in a row next weekend or is there going to be a surprise at the top of the pile?
