5) Leeds United 3-0 Huddersfield Town - (20/9/14)

An impressive and empathic home win over a team who are looking to establish themselves under manager Chris Powell as a competitive Championship outfit.

Will Crowe launch a takeover bid?

Rudolph Austin, Mirco Antenucci and Souleymane Doukara grabbed the goals to give the home side a third win in four games under (at that time), caretaker manager Neil Redfearn, before the ill tainted reign of Darko Milanic commenced.

4) Mirco Antenucci

The versatile Italian striker arrived from Serie B side Ternana on a two-year contract back in August 2014. He became the clubs seventh signing from Italian football, which raised doubts as to whether he, along with the other additions from the south of Europe, could adapt to the demands and physicality that the Sky Bet Championship brings to the game.

He has seemingly made the transition to English Football relatively well, becoming the joint top goal scorer at the club, along with local prodigy Alex Mowatt, thus far in the current campaign.

3) Alex Mowatt

A midfielder who has already been tipped to become a future England international, his recent impressive performances have lately caught the eye of several suitors in the Barclays Premier League, including Liverpool, Everton and West Ham United.

Mowatt has been nothing short of a revelation

A skilful, passionate enthusiastic player with an eye for goal, he is presently the club’s joint top goal scorer, along with Mirco Antenucci, in this current campaign.

2) Lewis Cook

Is it no inexplicable occurrence that Leeds United are renowned for their remarkable academy that has produced a number of gifted footballers who have developed into becoming not only Premier League regulars, but future England internationals as well.

Cook looks set for a bright future

Players such as Aaron Lennon, Jonathan Woodgate and Fabian Delph to name a few, have progressed through the Leeds United Academy to become established performers within the English game, and there seems to be little evidence to the contrary that Lewis Cook will not follow in those illustrious footsteps.

A talented, hungry, positive young midfielder who has been given licence to roam by current manager Neil Redfearn, he is seen by many as the present and future of Leeds United, who continues to impress with every game that he plays with his skill and appetite for the game.

1) The return of Neil Redfearn

It is undeniably clear that the prosperity of the club has drastically improved since the return of Neil Redfearn as manager following the disastrous short reign of Darko Milanic.

Redfearn has changed the fortunes of the Yorkshire club

A tactician who likes to play attacking football, Neil has given Leeds fans renewed hope of a promotion push to the promised land of the Barclays Premier League with his renewed style of ball control and possession play.

He has also given youth a chance to shine during his return to the club, which demonstrates the class and elegance the Leeds United Academy currently possess.

There seems little evidence against to insinuate that given the support and devoted passion of the fan base of the club, and the players that are currently at his disposal, there is no reason why Neil Redfearn and his squad cannot sustain a serious challenge for promotion, most likely in the next campaign.
