This guy is tearing League One up at the moment where he is on loan at Coventry City and has six goals in eleven appearances.
He offers pace up front which Reading are dying for at the moment, although they have been linked with a move for quick Crystal Palace striker Kwesi Appiah today.
The Coventry Telegraph have actually said that Samuel is the best striker loan at the Sky Blues since David McGoldrick in the 2012/2013 season.
Reading’s forwards haven’t been in good form this season. Their top scorer is Simon Cox with eight goals, although he hasn’t scored in 2015. Pavel Pogrebnyak only has six goals this year, whilst in form Jamie Mackie is only on loan at the Royals.
A young goalscorer would therefore not go amiss and not only that I like his attitude. He grew unhappy whilst Nigel Adkins was in charge and demanded first team football. Adkins told him he needed to improve his attitude to gain a place.
Now, everytime he scores, we see a post on twitter of how he’s proving people wrong or something similar. I like that a lot in a player. He wants to play. I hope he does next year.
