A fresh update has emerged on the ongoing dispute between Charlton Athletic majority shareholder Tahnoon Nimer and ex-chairman Matt Southall, which has drawn a frustrated response from fans of the South London club.

The ugly boardroom civil war has played out on social media over the past few months and led to Southall being removed from his post.

Both men's involvement with the club began as part of East Street Investment's takeover, which was completed in January.

It was announced last month that the EFL are investigating the takeover, as well as both Nimer and Southall, for misconduct.

It doesn't appear that pending investigation has stopped either party trying to get one over on each other as both have posted fresh claims on social media, which have been picked up by reputable Charlton source Louis Mendez.

It has been a frustrating period for the Valley faithful, who were battling against relegation before the delay to the season, have had to deal with this ongoing dispute, and now face an EFL investigation against the club.

They don't seem impressed by the latest development and many Addicks fans took to Twitter to express their frustration.
