Daniel Farke's first season in English football was heading towards an early end at one stage, with the German boss struggling to inspire his Canaries side to a top half finish for much of the campaign.

However, form has improved in the past few months and although a play-off finish is out of the question, enough has been shown by the squad to suggest there is potential to perhaps challenge for a top-six berth next year.

The emergence of James Maddison has undoubtedly been the highlight, with the diminutive play-maker attracting the attentions of sides further up the football pyramid.

A squad overhaul is expected in the summer with loan deals expiring and many fringe men expecting to be moved on, but Farke should consider sanctioning loan deals instead of allowing this trio to leave on a permanent basis...

A hero at Lincoln City, the former Dover man has failed to establish himself at Carrow Road having finally arrived after spending the first half of the season on loan with the Imps as part of the deal which took him to East Anglia.

The 24-year-old is a giant, commanding central defender who dominated at both National League and League Two level, but is the two league jump a step too far for the big man?

Preseason will provide a clearer suggestion as to the player's future, but another loan back to his former side to work with manager Danny Cowley could work wonders for his confidence and perhaps save his future with the Canaries.

The young German arrived from lower league side Paderborn in January to work with compatriot Farke, but his performances thus far have suggested that he is far from ready to be considered a solid Championship star.

Four starts and four substitute appearances have wielded little in terms of output and although fans will remain patient with the 23-year-old given his recent arrival from a foreign league, concerns will exist.

Perhaps in need of a loan spell within these shores in order to adapt to the demands of the physicality and tempo of the English game, time in the third tier could see Srbeny return to Carrow Road a renewed figure.

Farke stole ahead of many rival managers to secure the signature of Watkins from Barnsley on a free transfer, but the Welshman has failed to repeat his exploits of last season following his arrival.

The 27-year-old should be at the peak of his powers but has thus far struggled to establish himself within Farke's system and perhaps a short-term deal away from the club will see him rediscover the form that attracted so much interest from rival managers.

Could former boss Paul Heckingbottom take him to Leeds for a few months and inspire him to fulfil the potential he clearly possesses?

A switch would be his last chance for a successful career in East Anglia.

Canaries fans, thoughts?
