Norwich City stunned the rest of the Championship as they clinched the league title on the final day of the 2018/2019 season.

Daniel Farke's men hardly put a foot wrong all season, and fully deserved their return back into the Premier League, with a number of players stepping up to the mark when required to.

The Canaries didn't splash the cash on their way to the top either, which makes their promotion even more impressive, and they'll be keen to retain their place in the top-flight in next year's campaign.

Norwich's Sporting Director, Stuart Webber has recently revealed in an interview with Sky Sports that they will have one of the smallest transfer budgets in the Premier League this season.

But that shouldn't be a concern by any stretch of the imagination, as Daniel Farke seems to know how to find 'hidden gems' in the transfer market.

The likes of Emi Buendia, Mario Vrancic and Teemu Pukki were all signed on relatively cheap fees, which certainly should be encouraging for the Carrow Road faithful heading into next season in the top-flight.

They've recently been linked with a move for Middlesbrough midfielder, John Obi Mikel, according to Nigerian publication, Sports247, in what is a somewhat surprising rumour.

There's no doubting that Mikel is a good enough player to be playing in the Premier League, but he's likely to be on high wages, which would make a move to Norwich a poor one for Daniel Farke's side.

Norwich should be avoiding a move for him in the summer and focus on signing European-based players instead, as it's done them well in the past, so why change what has previously worked?

The Canaries wouldn't be where they are now without the signings which have proven to be some of the best signings the Norwich supporters will have seen in recent years.

It's going to be an interesting summer ahead for Norwich, and it will be intriguing to see how Daniel Farke approaches the transfer window now that his side are in the Premier League.
