Plenty of Huddersfield Town fans have taken to social media to give their reactions, after the club unveiled their new club crest.

The new design is significantly different and has five major changes from the old crest, most notably a new shield which has been introduced, with the intent of giving the crest a more modern feel.

Huddersfield released a statement on their club website, explaining the reasons behind the new design and their intent to keep the traditional values of the club in the new crest.

The statement added that the new shield which has been added will be used on the club's shirts for the upcoming season, but that the crest can also be used without the shield where appropriate.

Among the new changes including the three stars being places centrally and inside the shield, one white rose instead of two, an updated terrier sitting on top of the shield. The text 1908 was also added, commemorating the year the club was formed.

Huddersfield finished bottom of the Premier League last season and were relegated back to the Championship after two seasons in the top flight.

Plenty of Huddersfield supporters took to social media to give their thoughts on the new badge, with many fans happy with the design, but others thought it would look slightly better without the shield.
