‘Fantastic today’ – These Sheffield Wednesday fans pay tribute to one man for performance in win over Preston

It was a good day for Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday afternoon, as they beat Preston North End 1-0 at Hillsborough.
Liam Palmer’s close range strike on the stroke of half time was enough to secure all three points for Wednesday, in a game where both sides largely struggled to test the opposition ‘keeper.
That result now means that Wednesday are just four points from safety in the Championship table, and perhaps not surprisingly, plenty of Owls fans appeared delighted as they took to Twitter to give their thoughts on that game.
One player who came in for a considerable amount of praise from those Wednesday followers, was Osaze Urhoghide.
Having been handed his first league start of the season in the clash with Preston, Urhoghide produced an impressive and assured performance, with WhoScored reporting that the left back completed two tackles, and made four interceptions – a tally not beaten by a player from either side – across the course of the 90 minutes.
That is something that did not go unnoticed by the club’s fans, and here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say about the 20-year-old.

Urhoghide was immense today reminds me of Iorfa with long legs and good balance, one definitely for the future. Sam has never let us down at CH and Lees is playing very well. We will have a strong back line when Chey is fit

Urhoghide was fantastic today, as was Paterson. Delighted for Liam to get his goal. We know we can do this if we do what we did today. Have to win the games like today which are in the balance and won on a mistake or bit of quality.
