A number of Stoke City supporters have been heaping praise on Sam Clucas’ impact during the Potters’ thrilling 4-3 win against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
The Potters headed into the game looking to continue where they left off from their impressive 3-0 win against Reading before the international break. Going forwards, at least they were able to do that with standout displays from Tyrese Campbell and Nick Powell alongside Clucas.
Clucas has been quietly enjoying a promising start to the season with the 30-year-old having now averaged two key passes, one-shot, 1.2 interceptions and 1.2 tackles per game so far this term in his six league appearances (Sofascore). That shows that Michael O’Neill is starting to get the best out of him.

If Messi had scored that goal Clucas just did it would be talked about for weeks. Superb, skinned 3/4 players and smashes it in. #SCFC
