It's been going on for weeks, but Sheffield Wednesday have now finally confirmed the appointment of Steve Bruce as the club's new manager.

The Owls have been without a manager since the departure of Jos Luhukay under a fortnight ago - the Dutchman won just 16 out of 48 games in charge of the Yorkshire club, during his 11-month stint at Hillsborough.

Lee Bullen has done a shrewd job in caretaker charge of the Owls and has guided the club to an unbeaten run of four games - but will remain as part of the senior coaching set-up, as the club announce Bruce as their new manager.

The 58-year-old has been out of work since his departure from Aston Villa in October - the former Manchester United star was sacked by the West Midlands club after winning just 3 out of 11 Championship games this season.

Having guided Villa to the play-off final last term and securing four promotions as a manager, Bruce is a vastly experienced manager who will no doubt turn the tide around at Hillsborough.

He won't begin his post until the 1st of February, but here, we take a look at Wednesday fans' reactions to the appointment of Bruce...
