Stoke City today completed the signing of Tom Ince, as Gary Rowett strengthens his squad ahead of the Championship campaign.

The former Derby boss has been busy in the market so far, bringing in James McClean, Benik Afobe and Oghenekaro Etebo in what has been an impressive window for the Potters.

And, it got better with the capture of Ince, who will cost the Staffordshire side an initial £10m.

The 26-year old, who played under Rowett for a short spell at Derby, has scored 68 goals in 211 games in the second-tier throughout his career.

Such form saw him move to Huddersfield 12 months ago, however he struggled to replicate those displays in the Premier League, scoring twice in their successful season.

Nevertheless, few would argue that Ince is a top player at this level and he could be pivotal as they look to bounce back at the first opportunity.

Unsurprisingly, this deal went down well with Stoke supporters.
