Millwall today confirmed that Jiri Skalak had joined the club for an undisclosed fee from Premier League Brighton.

The winger, who can play on either flank, was a key part of the Seagulls squad that won promotion to the top-flight two years ago.

However, he has struggled to get game time since promotion, often not finding himself in the squad in the previous campaign.

Therefore, he was always set for a move for this summer, with the Lions heavily linked in recent weeks.

And, the London club confirmed on their website that the Czech Republic international had joined on a 'long-term contract'.

He will be a key signing for Neil Harris who had been desperate for a wide man after missing out on Ben Marshall, who moved to Norwich last month.

Understandably, fans were delighted that the club had solved a problem position with a proven player.

Here's how they reacted to the news on twitter...
