Nottingham Forest are stumbling towards a mid-table finish in the Championship this season, with only two matches of their season remaining having failed to push on following the appointment of Martin O'Neill as manager.

O'Neill has failed to get a consistent tune out of his bloated playing squad and there is a strong possibility of major comings and goings in the summer.

One player already keen on a move away is Iranian striker Karim Ansarifard, who is reported in Greek outlet snda.gr to be wanting a move away from the City Ground in the summer, since failing to make an impact since arriving back in November 2018.

So how should Forest fans be feeling about Ansarifard's spell at Forest, amid talk of him leaving?

We discuss........

Benjamin Lang

"This wouldn't be a huge loss for Forest, and fans shouldn't be too fussed.

"I thought he still had a part to play at the City Ground, but Forest fans should now want to get rid of any player who isn't totally committed to the club.

"Fans will be hoping for a clear-out in the summer, and it would not be concerning for Forest's future if Ansarifard is part of that."

Louie Chandler

"They should accept his failure.

"He was clearly a waste of money and although injuries have hampered his spell, he has not exactly done well when given the chance either.

"Recoup what they can and get him off the wage bill."

Gary Hutchinson

“Cheated.

“He’s another of those Forest signings that earned a wage for nothing.

“There has been some terrible moves by them this season.

“The squad has been too bloated with hangers-on and squad players.”
