Championship, League One and League Two teams will find out when they face each other at 09.00 BST on Wednesday when the fixtures for the 2015-16 season are released.
Making an immediate return to the Football League are Burnley and Queens Park Rangers, who were both relegated from the Premier League in 2014-15, as well as Bristol Rovers after they won promotion from the Conference – now known as the National League – via the play-offs.
Also coming back, after two-season absences, are Hull City and Barnet – the latter as Conference champions, the former losing their top flight status only a year on from their defeat to Arsenal in the FA Cup final.
Bristol City, Preston North End and Milton Keynes Dons step up to the Championship and will make their travel plans with a little more enthusiasm than usual, as will supporters of Burton Albion, Shrewsbury Town, Bury and Southend United who move up to League One.
But Millwall, Wigan Athletic and Blackpool won’t be keen on seeing themselves in the third tier, as will fans of Notts County, Crawley Town, Leyton Orient and Yeovil Town for having to make arrangements for life in League Two this coming season.
Meanwhile, Cheltenham Town and Tranmere Rovers will be missing from the fixture list after 16 and 94 years respectively in the Football League following their demotions last term.
