According to Fleetwood Today, Uwe Rosler has dismissed reports suggesting that he is set to take the Norwich City job.

The Fleetwood Town manager denied that he has been approached or that the club has been approached by Norwich City and dismissed it as "fake news".

Norwich City are searching for a new manager after they parted ways with Alex Neil and the East Anglian club have had Alan Irvine in interim charge since then.

Fleetwood's Uwe Rosler had been heavily linked with Norwich after doing a stellar job with the League One side this season.

The German currently has the Trawlermen positioned in third place in the third tier and they are searching for automatic promotion.

However, Uwe Rosler dismissed the rumours suggesting that he's set to take the vacant managerial post at Norwich City and added that he is committed to his contract with Fleetwood Town, which runs until summer 2018.

Rosler said:

"The club is not approached by anybody, I am not approached by anybody - it is fake news.

“Players, staff, coaches, everybody committed and looking forward to the last of the season.

“I have another year contract, anything else is speculation and that is the last time I comment on anything on that.”
