Stoke City have held discussions with Saido Berahino's representatives over his drink-drive incident amid rumours the striker will be sacked, according to The Telegraph.

Berahino, 25, was charged by police on Tuesday after SunSport exclusively revealed he had been arrested outside London's VQ restaurant in the early hours of Monday morning.

So are the Potters right to sack Berahino?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

"I think it is.

"Jones will be absolutely determined to set a precedent of professionalism at Stoke and this would be a good start.

"If you are not willing to buy into his approach then you will not be kept at the club."

Jacob Potter

"Fairplay to the Potters.

"What Berahino did is completely irresponsible and he should be punished for his actions, and it’s good to see the club wanting rid of him.

"He’s meant to be setting an example to young supporters, and the club are doing the right thing in potentially sacking him."

Gary Hutchinson

“Replace could with ‘has been’ and it’ll be the right decision.

“Commercially it isn’t.

“He’ll find another club, possibly get a signing on fee, but that’s football.

“Stoke have to make a stand.”

Jay Taylor

“Sunderland did it with Darron Gibson so what makes this situation any different?

“If all accounts are proven to be satisfied with the outcome of everything then the club could well be within their rights to do so.

“He is a player that has had so many chances to sort his act out and failed to do so.

“Stoke will be doing themselves a favour if they bin the striker off.”
