West Brom are emerging as one of the main promotion contenders this season as they continue to put the pressure on the top two.

The Baggies ground out a 1-0 win over Stoke City yesterday to continue their good form, and if they can keep up their way of playing and keep getting points on the board, then they will be right in the mix come the end of the campaign.

Manager Darren Moore deserves a whole host of credit for getting the Baggies into the groove following last season's relegation, and it looks like he could be rewarded, with the Mirror reporting the club are set to offer Moore a new deal.

However, is this the right call for Albion, or should they not put all their eggs in on basket so to speak.

We asked our writers here at FLW for their verdicts on the potential new deal for Darren Moore...

Gary Hutchinson

“He’s not done too badly, has he?

“He’s stuck in the top four or five all season which for a so-called rookie coach is really good.

“They’re now looking to reward that achievement.

“Fair play to them.”

George Harbey

"He undoubtedly deserves it.
"Ever since he’s took the job on, he’s hardly put a foot wrong.
"He’s a young manager and is bound to make mistake, but he has been a massive success in the early stages of his managerial career."
Lee Connor
"I think so, and i think if anyone deserves it in the Championship it's Moore.
"Turning a team round from being relegated into immediate contenders is no easy task, as we can see at Stoke.
"It's good news all around this I think, and I think Moore will take them up this season in all honesty".
