As interest in the teenager continues to gather pace, we take you through the latest news on what promises to be one of the dominant transfer stories in the January window.

What do we know so far?

We are aware that Carvalho is said to have rejected the Whites' final contract offer that was put forward to him and his representatives, which suggests that he sees his future away from Craven Cottage.

This has led to various reports over which club he could end up at, with Liverpool said to be leading and potentially winning the race to get their hands on the attacking midfielder.

However more recently, Chelsea have been touted as potential suitors, with their geographical location just up the road from Fulham and recent reputation for blooding youngsters into the first team sure to come into Carvalho's thinking.

Meanwhile there have also been past reports of the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona both keeping tabs on the situation along with several other European heavyweights as the race continues to hot up for the 19-year-old.

Is a transfer likely to happen?

It now appears almost certain that Carvalho will be plying his trade away from Fulham either by the end of January or by the turn of the summer in the new year, with the player having made it seemingly clear that he no longer wishes to stay with the West London side.

Therefore it is a matter of both him and his agent sifting through the various offers that will almost certainly come his way as they look to decide on where the best place is to continue his development.

Much of his decision will depend on playing time but as he has already proved, he could easily fit in at most top clubs because of his exciting style of play.
