‘Extra £10m’, ‘£5m added’ – Many West Brom fans address Spurs and West Ham target after international display

West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone made his England debut in the 1-0 win over Romania yesterday and his impressive performance has caused a stir among Baggies fans. 

Johnstone is one of three goalkeepers in Gareth Southgate’s 26-man squad for the upcoming European Championships and was handed his first appearance for his country in their final warm-up game.

Though England struggled to move out of first gear against Romania, Johnstone produced an excellent display – with his remarkable reaction save ensuring Southgate’s side were able to come away with a victory at the Riverside.

With just a year left on his current deal at the Hawthorns and on the back of West Brom’s relegation to the Championship, it is understood that the West Midlands club have placed a £20 million price-tag on the 28-year-old this summer.

Among the clubs reportedly keen are Manchester United, Tottenham, newly-promoted Watford, and West Ham United.
