According to goal.com, both Rangers and Leeds are looking into signing Ryan Kent this summer from Liverpool.

An explosive, pacy winger, it's easy to see why both sides might want him. Rangers, of course, have Steven Gerrard at the helm and he'll want to implement an attacking, quick style that he both used as U18 manager at Liverpool and played in so often throughout his career.

Leeds, meanwhile, are looking to be more aggressive in the summer window and have a better campaign than last season with the likes of Marcelo Bielsa being linked.

Both, then, are exciting projects but it's Elland Road where the winger should head, not Ibrox.

Of course, playing for a club like Rangers under a manager like Steven Gerrard will be a massive pull but Kent would get more from playing for Leeds in the Championship.

The Gers want to be challenging Celtic next season, of course, but actually managing to do so is going to be some feat and one that, realistically, might still take a few years before they achieve it.

Leeds, however, seem better placed to achieve their respective aim - getting promoted - this coming season.

Of course, things can change and Rangers might just pull off a huge turnaround but they are the bigger risk and for a young player like Kent, it might be best to see what Leeds have to offer most of all.
