According to the Bristol Post, free agent Kieran Richardson is training with Bristol City.
Social media was sent into frenzy as Bristol City fans speculated about a picture of Kieran Richardson stood next to chief scout Des Taylor.
The Bristol Post later confirmed that Richardson has been training with the Robins for a week in a bid to earn a contract with the Championship side.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed an illustrious career with Manchester United, West Brom, Sunderland, Fulham and most recently Aston Villa. He was released by Villa upon the expiry of his contract at the end of last season and has been a free agent ever since.
The experienced left-footed player predominantly operates as a winger but is also capable of playing at left back and across the whole of defence and midfield. This versatility would make him a handy addition to Bristol City’s squad as Lee Johnson eyes more new arrivals at Ashton Gate.
Richardson has eight international caps for England and vast experience of the Premier League so his potential arrival is exciting Bristol City fans.
