Derby County dropped out of the top six in a bad night for them away at Stoke City.

They lost the game 2-1 after playing against ten men for over an hour and to compound their misery, Bradley Johnson looks set to face punishment by the FA for what appeared to be a biting incident with Joe Allen.

A rather testy affair was made worse with Peter Etebo's sending off, sparking a mass brawl involving Allen and Johnson. It appeared as the two grappled with each other than Johnson had a mouthful of Allen's shirt and who knows what else.

Allen was not totally blameless, Johnson walked away with marks on his neck too and now both are likely to face the wrath of the FA.

Any situation in which a player is allegedly bitten is bound to be taken seriously, especially in the days of modern technology when the footage is there for everyone to digest immediately. It isn't a pretty image and even the Derby fans know their player is in for some sort of punishment.

Here's their thoughts from Twitter this morning.
