QPR will be looking to get a win this evening against West Brom with their form tailing off badly in recent weeks.

Indeed, this was the game where the Baggies hammered them earlier this season, so maybe revenge will be on their minds.

Whilst we wait to see, though, we caught up with Dean Ashton not too long ago and he told us exclusively that despite their recent form they needn't worry about the drop...

"They’re one of those teams that are out of it.

"It’s going to take too many teams below them to go on a run that they are not capable of to get them into trouble.

"I think for QPR I wouldn’t be thinking about that and more the importance of just trying to get into good performances and good results for the rest of the season.

"They’ve probably exceeded expectations in that run they went on after starting so poorly and that probably provided a false sense of where they’re at as a team.

"I think they are about where their qualities are at the moment, they’re not going to get relegated but I don’t think they’re strong enough now to challenge further up.

"It’s difficult to stay motivated, I’ve been in that situation before, and it is difficult when there’s no pressure at either end of the table – especially when you face sides that are in one of those battles.

"I think Steve McClaren will know who he wants to keep and who he wants to bring in to strengthen for next season."
