Reading remain looking for a new manager at the moment with Paul Clement being removed from his post last week.

And, after losing at the weekend to Sheffield United, it seems as though the sooner they bring someone in the better.

With that in mind, then, we caught up with Sue Smith to see who she thinks should come in at the Madejski Stadium...

"It’s such a tough one.

"All of the big names have been out there, the likes of Steve Bruce – an experienced manager that knows how to get clubs out of trouble and promoted.

"I know Slavisa Jokanovic is one that a lot of fans would like given what he did in the Championship with Fulham.

"It didn’t work out in the Premier League but that expansive, attacking football would be great. Whether that’d happen or not I’m not sure but I think a nice fit would be Phil Parkinson at Bolton. He’s an ex-player, he loves the club and you’d think that if he came in and got some backing things would improve.

"The thing with Reading now is they need stability. They need someone to come in and make sure that it’s not just a quick fix, they need to look ahead and build a project there.

"It’s such a big club and it’s sad to see what’s happening there at the moment. They’ve got some decent players and I think if you can get the best out of them there is no reason why they can’t turn their season around."
