Leeds United are going for the Championship title this season but have a stern test in trying to hunt down Norwich City.

However, that winning mentality is at the club when you look at the U23 side which recently won their divisional title.

Certainly, the academy at the club has earned plenty of deserved praise this season with several youngsters breaking into the first team and making a genuine impression.

A former Whites player is full of praise for the work they have done, too, as we caught up with Stephen Warnock to discuss the youth set-up in West Yorkshire.

He told us exclusively...

"The great thing for Leeds is that they always have academy graduates in the team, they always have another one coming off of the production line.

"It's so well geared-up there to keep bringing players through and they are very good in the way that they do it because they keep finding gems.

"Them winning the league should be no surprise to anybody and now it's just taking that next step for the youngsters.

"More often than not they have been able to break through in the past because they've been a Championship or League One side in the last decade or so.

"The big question will be if they get into the Premier League will they get the same chance to progress? That will be a big challenge.

"As a club, though, to keep churning out the players they keep churning out is incredible and it's a credit to what they do behind the scenes."
