West Brom will be looking to get themselves as close to the top two as possible, though they are only in with an outside chance of doing that.
The Baggies have been good this season, but it is clear that there remains an air of doubt over who the next manager is going to be at the club.
Could James Shan get the permanent gig then? That is a question we put to EFL on Quest pundit Stephen Warnock.
And, he told us exclusively…
“If he gets them promoted then he’ll probably get the job.
“I think West Brom need to look at things longer-term now, though, and they need to bring someone in that can look after the club for a long time.
“They need that structure within the club and that knowledge that a manager is going to be there for a long time because it’s been one of those clubs that has been a bit messy in terms of the way it’s been run or with the manager situation.
“He stands a chance, especially if they get promoted, but for them and their owners it’s probably a case of getting someone in that can take them on long-term.”
