Jarrod Bowen is certainly going to be a player in demand in this month's transfer window, with Tottenham reportedly moving into pole position to strike a deal for the in-form winger.

It will come as no surprise to see Bowen attracting interest from Premier League clubs, as he already has 14 goals to his name in Hull's league campaign this season.

In an exclusive interview with FLW's Jacob Potter, Higginbotham feels as though it would be the wrong decision to move to Spurs for Bowen this month.

"There’s no doubting that he is an exceptional talent and he’s been the main reason why Hull have started to climb out of the situation they were in, earlier on in the season.

"I think it would be too early for him to move, especially to a club like Spurs, as when a player is doing really well like Bowen is, you have to have that full season of playing as much as you can, and as well as you can."

Tottenham are currently without both Harry Kane and Heung-min Son, but the Sky Sports pundit still finds it hard to believe that Bowen could force his way into the starting XI.

"It’s a difficult one, when you’re playing for a club in the Championship, and thinking about moving to the Premier League to a team that are challenging for the top four, it’s going to be very difficult for you to be breaking into that team straight away."

Bowen has been in excellent form this season, and his contribution to Nigel Adkins' side has seen the Tigers move into play-off contention in recent weeks.

"Hull are in a good position at the moment and they’re in a good run of form.

"I think Bowen would be under no illusions that if he was to go to a club like Tottenham then he’s not going to be starting week in, week out, there’s no doubt about that", Higginbotham admitted.

Bowen is likely to be involved for Hull when they take on promotion rivals, Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park at the weekend, where they will be looking to close the gap on the top six.
