Sevilla remain very keen on Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz but are not willing to cave to the Championship club's £25 million valuation, sources have exclusively informed Football League World

The 23-year-old enjoyed the best season of his career in 2021/22 – scoring 22 goals for Rovers and catching the eye while on international duty with Chile – and has drawn links to a host of top clubs this summer.

Both Leeds United and West Ham United have been linked but it appears there remains interest from elsewhere in Europe as well.

Football League World can exclusively reveal that Sevilla are still keen on Brereton Diaz but are not willing to cave to Rovers' £25 million valuations of the forward.

FLW sources believe that the LaLiga club's offer is closer to £10 million plus add-ons at the moment.

The Chile international is in the final year of his contract at Ewood Park after Blackburn triggered a one-year extension earlier in the summer and new manager Jon Dahl Tomasson has refused to rule out his departure.

But for the time being, it seems as though Brereton Diaz will available for Rovers' season opener against QPR on Saturday and beyond.
