However, there’s also a desire in West London to keep the club’s youth team set-up ticking over nicely.
A source has revealed to Football League World that QPR are eyeing a deal for Garande, who has earned rave reviews during his time with the under-18s at Charlton, with the player set to train with the R’s this week.
The winger, 18, has consistently impressed at The Valley, catching QPR’s eye. However, it’s been explained to us that developments around the contract put to Garande means he’s available on a free this summer.
The R’s are not alone in registering an interest in Garande and will likely face competition in the race to sign him ahead of the transfer window closing at the end of August.
Warburton oversaw an impressive end to the season at QPR in 2020/21, with the R’s looking to push on for the play-offs in the coming campaign. At Charlton, Nigel Adkins is gearing up for his first full season in-charge of the League One club.
