Exclusive: Paul Cook planning dramatic summer action after Ipswich Town takeover
Ipswich Town boss Paul Cook is planning a serious overhaul of his playing squad in the summer window now that he has new owners to work with, Football League World has been told exclusively.
The Tractor Boys have seen a lot of changes off of the pitch in the last couple of months with Cook coming in and replacing Paul Lambert as manager and, of course, this week seeing the reign of Marcus Evans coming to an end as he gave up his majority stake in the club.
Indeed, it’s an exciting new chapter for the Tractor Boys who will hope that they are going to be in the Championship for next season but, regardless, playing squad changes are on the horizon this summer.
Football League World has been told exclusively that Cook is aiming to revamp the playing staff in the off-season and ten or more new arrivals could be targeted in what would be a real nod to the ambitions of both him and the new owners for the club.
Town are currently chasing the play-off places in League One and they take on MK Dons this weekend in the third tier as they look to maintain their challenge.
