Nottingham Forest are ready to make a fresh attempt to sign Blackpool winger Josh Bowler this summer, sources have exclusively told Football League World.

The Reds spent the January transfer window desperately trying to bring the 23-year-old to the City Ground, but ultimately failed in their attempts.

Forest though have not given up on the former Everton man, who has scored seven goals for the Seasiders since arriving on a free transfer in the summer at Bloomfield Road.

Bowler only signed a one-year contract with the Tangerines, but Neil Critchley's side will almost certainly trigger the option in the winger's deal to extend that for another season.

With that in mind though, Blackpool are ready to cash in on Bowler this summer, with a whole host of suitors lining up to make bids.

Burnley, Leicester City, Bournemouth and Fulham are all also tracking Bowler and an offer in the region of £5 million will be enough to secure his services, with Forest planning to make a major play regardless of what division they are in next season.
