Nigel Quashie is expecting a stalemate between West Brom and Nottingham Forest this weekend, with both teams having really impressed the 41-year-old who of course originally turned out for both clubs during his playing days.

West Brom head into tomorrow's 12:30 kick off in exceptionally strong form, with Slaven Bilic's side having picked up crucial wins against the likes of Millwall and Reading to extend their lead at the top of the Championship to six points after Leeds United saw their promotion bid falter in recent fixtures.

From a Forest perspective, it has been something of a mixed few games for the City Ground side, with Sabri Lamouchi having watched his charges dispatch of Leeds to great effect on Saturday night before then seeing his side slump to a 1-0 defeat at home to relegation-threatened Charlton Athletic.

The two sides now go head to head this Saturday in what is set to be a mouth-watering tie between two of the top sides in the division, with Quashie weighing in with his opinion on the tie when Football League World’s Chief Editor Sam Rourke caught up with the former midfielder earlier this week:

"I'll take a draw all day because they're two fantastic clubs.

"I shouldn't be saying that but you know I've had the experience of playing for both clubs, they're great clubs and you know on the day it's the best team wins and (whoever) performs the best.

"Overall, I would sit on the fence on this one and hopefully it does work out a draw and they both get promoted because they're both in good positions at the moment."
