Middlesbrough are braced to lose Marcus Tavernier with Bournemouth, Everton, Leicester City, and Nottingham Forest all weighing up bids for the midfielder, who they will demand at least £10 million for, sources have exclusively informed Football League World.

The 23-year-old enjoyed the most productive season of his career in 2021/22 – scoring five times and providing five assists – and became a vital creative asset for Chris Wilder's side.

However, it appears Tavernier could be on the move before the summer transfer window slams shut at the start of September.

Football League World understands that the Championship club are braced to lose the in-demand midfielder this summer given the growing interest from Premier League clubs.

Bournemouth, Everton, Leicester, and Forest are all looking at mounting a bid while Boro are set to demand at least £10 million to let him leave in the current window.

A product of the North East club's academy system, Tavernier has two years left on the contract extension that he signed in 2020.

He was forced off in Boro's 3-2 pre-season victory against York City last week but Wilder has suggested he should be ready for Friday's game against SC Braga.
