Sheffield Wednesday might not have been very active in the January transfer window so far but they have had a busy few weeks of recruitment regardless.
Steve Bruce has come in as manager and though he doesn’t officially start until 1 February you can bet he’ll be having his say on any potential signings right now.
With that in mind, then, we caught up with former midfielder and EFL on Quest pundit Michael Brown to see what he felt the Owls need this month…
“I think they need a little bit more pace and another striker maybe to help Steven Fletcher.
“They need pace in the wide areas to help them. They’ve obviously got some talented players there it’s just that belief.
“You wonder whether the fans will take to Steve Bruce because obviously he is ex-Sheffield United but he’s a person with experience and he understands rivalry and that will help with the supporters. He’s done Aston Villa and Birmingham and now Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday.
“It’s only personal reasons that are stopping him from working straight away. But he will be working and so will his staff and he’ll be having his input on ins and outs. He knows the league very very well and I am sure he can certainly improve them.”
