Lincoln City winger Bruno Andrade picked up the PFA Bristol Street Motors Player of the Month for League Two in February, with the presentation taking place at the club's Elite Performance Centre just outside the city.

Football League World's Gary Hutchinson presented the award to Andrade, who has enjoyed a sensational season since joining from Boreham Wood in the summer.

The Portuguese midfielder has scored ten goals in his 39 matches for the club, with six of those coming in a four-game spell in February.

His form, along with a spirited and committed group of teammates, has seen the Imps move to within a whisker of League One football, with a 13-point gap currently the difference between them and Mansfield Town in the first play-off spot.

Andrade, formerly on the books of Queens Park Rangers, told FLW that he's enjoying his time at Sincil Bank.

“I’m just enjoying it. It’s different moving up here as I’m a London boy and it’s a bit quieter. I’m learning a lot from the gaffer and Nick and I’m really enjoying my football.”

He told how a change of position has meant he hasn't scored as many as he did in the National League last season, but that his form is certainly some of the best of his career.

“It’s 100% the best form I’ve been in during my career. I had a similar month at Boreham Wood, but I was playing up front and this year I’m playing on the wing. You don’t expect to get as many goals playing on the wing."

When asked by sponsors Bristol Street Motors about whether he was looking forward to League One football next season, the 25-year-old gave a somewhat coy laugh before responding.

“It’s always good to think ahead and to set your standards as high as you can. I’m looking forward to doing that with Lincoln and hopefully we’ll be there soon."

Andrade bagged another goal this weekend as the Imps strolled to a 3-0 victory against Crawley, with second from bottom Macclesfield the visitors this weekend.
