Lee Hendrie has highlighted what 16-year-old Birmingham City Jude Bellingham should do next in order to get the most out of his career.

The youngster has been in inspired form over the course of the season, and since breaking into the first-team has played over 30 games for the club as he looks to fulfil his potential.

Bellingham has been linked with some of the biggest clubs in England over the course of the campaign with Manchester United and Liverpool both reportedly keen to bring him to the Premier League.

It's set to be a career-deciding summer for the young Birmingham born midfielder, and there has also been reports that a deal has been agreed with German giants Borussia Dortmund.

There's clearly a whole host of European clubs looking at the player, and with the links getting stronger by the day, Bellingham and Birmingham will have to make a decision when the summer transfer window comes around.

Speaking exclusively to Football League World Chief Editor Sam Rourke, Hendrie explained his thoughts on Bellingham's next step:

"I think if you've got that much potential and gone and played over 30 games in the Championship at whatever club, to do that just speaks that he could easily go and play at a top-flight club.

"The problem is, we see Daniel James going into Man United and he's got a lot of game time this season, it's just the selection of what club he does go to. Frank Lampard has had a lot of use of his youngsters this season due to being unable to sign players, it has worked well for him though.

"If he does go to a club, it has to be a place where he can get lots of game time, we don't want to see Jude Bellingham go off the radar. He's just got to be particular in where he's going to go, is he going to go to a Man City and play every week? That's the big question mark.

"It's got to be something that he's got to look at and think where am I going to go and get game time? That's the big decision that the player and his dad have to make."
