Lee Hendrie has given his prediction for who he thinks will finish in the bottom three of the Championship when the campaign comes to a close in nine games time.

The relegation battle is set to go down to the wire with a number of teams battling it out for survival, knowing that every point is crucial from now until the end of the season.

At this current moment, the bottom three consists of the three teams that earned promotion to the division in the summer, Charlton Athletic, Luton Town and Barnsley.

There are quite a few sides who are just outside the relegation zone, such as Middlesbrough, Stoke City and recently improved Wigan Athletic.

One team who is now just one place above the bottom three is Hull City. Grant McCann's side have suffered an awful run of form, losing nine of their last 11 fixtures, and slipping further down the table ever since Jarrod Bowen's departure to West Ham United.

It's set to be a frantic finale, with a lot of the sides near the bottom of the table still having to play each other, it should be an entertaining watch for everyone except supporters of the teams involved.

Speaking exclusively to Football League World Chief Editor Sam Rourke, Hendrie outlined the three teams that he felt wouldn't have enough to stay in the division:

"I'm sticking with the bottom two that are there now, Barnsley and Luton, even though they're not a million miles off. I just think they've got a bit of a gap to close.

"I'm gonna throw one in and I just feel that Hull City might slip out this season, I just feel with the run of form that they're on and they're struggling for goals this season.

"With Jarrod Bowen gone, that has absolutely destroyed them, he was their main goal source and with the fixtures coming up they have some very tough games all in and around the bottom six. I just feel that they're going to slip away on the back of this poor form."
