Derby County certainly caught the eye earlier this month when they announced the arrival of Ashley Cole.

The experienced left-back links up with former team-mate Frank Lampard as they look to help get the Rams promoted this season.

What does EFL on Quest pundit Ian Holloway think of the move, though? We found out...

"I think it's happened thanks to their relationship.

"I think Frank has done well to get it past the chairman because anyone over 30 might not be an asset - even if they're the best player in the world or have been.

"Frank must have told him how great he is, how much of a winner he is to get it through. Nobody will know him like Frank and he must still trust him because they're going for promotion.

"Ashley in his time was one of the best left-backs in the world so that shows the ambition and drive Frank has for the club this season.

"He's got Mason Mount, Harry Wilson and Jayden Bogle so he needs to balance that out with experience and he has certainly done that and that's really going to give the dressing room a lift."
