Bradford City will be hoping that Gary Bowyer can get them out of trouble this season in League One.
It’s been a tumultuous time for the Bantams this campaign and there is plenty of work for them to do to get out of it.
Under Bowyer, though, they have beaten Peterborough and fought hard against Luton, so there are some good signs there.
We spoke to Ian Holloway, then, who gave us an assessment of Bowyer’s chances of keeping them up.
He told us exclusively:
“I’m a big fan of Gary.
“I’ve got all the time in the world for him, he’s a fantastic man and I really felt for him when he’d had enough for Blackpool in the summer.
“He’s a good coach but keeping them up will be a big ask.
“Saying that, Neil Warnock had a similar task with Rotherham in the Championship not so long ago and he kept them up so it can be done.
“If anyone can, Gary can, but I felt it would have been better for them to have in.”
